Who We Admit
ASPIRA City College admits adults who meet published entrance requirements and
demonstrate the interest, ability, and motivation to complete their program, including:
- Veterans and members of the military: ASPIRA City College is proud to honor United States veterans, members of the military, and their families. Applicants may be eligible to receive educational benefits through the GI Bill®. The GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). For information on the GI Bill visit www.benefits.va.go/gibill.
- Transfer students: Students who have previously attended a post-secondary school or college are permitted to apply for up to 12 transfer credits. To be considered, the credits must have been earned in courses with substantially similar content to the ASPIRA City College program applied to by the student. The student must be enrolled in and meet all admission requirements for an ASPIRA City College’s Associate in Specialized Technology (AST) degree program.
- Early decision high school students: High school seniors and students enrolled in GED programs may apply and upload their academic credentials upon graduation to satisfy entrance requirements before admission.
- Recent high school graduates and GED recipients: Those who have recently graduated high school or earned a GED are encouraged to apply. That’s because ASPIRA City College programs are a great way to launch an exciting career – without the four to six-year college commitment.
- Adults: ASPIRA City College makes it possible for adults in all life stages to pursue a college education and begin a new, rewarding career. From young parents looking to get ahead to low-income earners struggling to get by or professionals wanting to advance in their career or start a new one, all find their fit in admission to ASPIRA City College.
