ASPIRA City College admits adult applicants who meet published entrance requirements and who demonstrate the interest, ability, and motivation to complete the program of study selected successfully.

Advanced Standing

Adults who have attended college previously may be considered for credit transfer. To be considered the student must be enrolled in and meet all admission requirements for an ASPIRA City College’s Associate in Specialized Technology (AST) Degree program. The College permits up to twelve(12) credits for advancing standing.

Early Decision

High school seniors and students enrolled in GED programs may apply for admissions and upload their academic credentials upon graduation to satisfy this entrance requirement before being admitted.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

  • Be 17 years old or older

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED recognized by the Department of Education in the state the credential is awarded,

  • Have a Personal Interview (virtual or on campus),

  • Complete and submit an Application for Admissions and related forms

  • Achieve a passing score on Entrance Exam

  • Submit a $50 registration Fee

We offer online and on-campus learning pathways with options for day and evening class schedules to meet the needs of busy adults. Our career training programs focus students on gaining the knowledge and skills in high demand by today’s employers, and exclusively in career fields recognized for sustainable incomes. There are no liberal arts or elective requirements. About 80% of the coursework is in the area of career specialization lessening the time required to graduate, and employment readiness.
